Our First Pirate of the Day
Every day we have a "Pirate of the Day" where we learn about our friends. We also work on sight words and stretching the sounds in our words. Here is our friend Ashton, the first "Pirate of the Day".

Daily 5
WHAT is the "Daily 5"?
This is a time of the day when we work on our Communication Arts. Students read by themselves, with a buddy, listen to reading, write and work on words. We have established the rules of reading in our bubble spots and reading with a buddy, now it is time to establish "Word Work" activities. We have introduced all the letters and sounds of the alphabet, and now it is now time to practice.
